Ahhh!!!! So excited for the new sailor moon anime, it’s one of those things that’s been with me since I was 6 years old (thinking I was the coolest kid because I liked something that older kids liked too) and I’m happy that that was the defining rod of my childhood, fandom wise. If I was born five years later, maybe it would have been Twilight, which is a scary thought! Because for what it’s worth, Sailor Moon is about self sacrifice, and fighting even when it’s hard and ultimately knowing that good might not triumph over evil— but that friendship and love makes the darkness easier.
Which is a far cry from omg my boyfriend left me, I cannot live without my sparkling marble vegetarian sob sob sob.
Oh also, about the image (LOL i got carried away with feels ok)!!! I know a lot of people are talking about the fashion of Sailor Moon and how it needs to be updated but man! A lot of what they wear (off the shoulder sweatshirts, cardigans, shorts, skirts, tights, etc) are what we wear now, just in different colours and cuts! It’s not like they’re wearing 80s shoulder pads or anything *coughmissharunacough*. Case in point, Mina is wearing an outfit from Sailor Moon S, I just changed the colours around and made the shirts layer differently!
